Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear
So.. to cut a long story short I went to the UK over half term and forgot to pack foundation. How is that even possible for someone who took three shades of blush? I’m not entirely sure either. However, packing for three people and catching an early flight may have had something to do with it. It wasn’t too much of a problem as I was planning to do a beauty haul anyway. With it being way more cost effective for me to buy my cosmetics in the UK I had extra space in my luggage. I have to admit I was equally excited to see the Welsh Valleys as I was Boots!
For everyday I use Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear, I love it’s medium to full build-able coverage. It has a demi matte finish and blends into the skin like a dream. There is a breathability to the foundation that makes in comfortable to wear for the entire day. At the moment I’m as pale as the winter takes me so I’m using shade 045 Sable Beige. It’s the only neutral shade I have in my foundation collection but it has looked the best on me during the deepest of winters. When it fully oxidises onto the skin its an even better match for me. The foundation is available in 40 shades which I think is fantastic for diversity within the industry where it can be hard to find a right match for the lightest and deepest skin-tones. I have used this foundation for years and its my fail safe, I was more than happy to re-purchase. While I was at the counter I was blinded by the glow of Lancôme’s newest realise from the Tient Idole range.
Lancôme Custom Drops Liquid Highlighter
“BLEND YOUR CHOSEN LIQUID HIGHLIGHTER WITH THE TIENT IDOLE ULTRA WEAR FOUNDATION OR APPLY ON TOP OF YOUR FOUNDATION FOR A HEALTHY, DEWY AND RADIANT GLOW”
Available in four shades these illuminator drops promise to help you achieve the glow of your dreams. After swatching all the shades I decided to purchase Rose Glow a beautiful rose gold perfect for light to medium skin tones. It states that its suitable for all skin types and is derma-logically tested. They come with 15ml of product in a glass bottle, dispensed with a pipette. To be honest this is where the downfall lies, the liquid is too thick to dispense properly. I just wasn’t able to get that sucking action to bring the product up the applicator. I ended up placing the product from outside of the syringe to the back of my hand.
“THIS VERSATILE LIQUID HIGHLIGHTERIS IS HIGHLY CONCENTRATED IN PEARS AND BLENDS SEAMLESSLY WITH THE SKIN TO CREATE A SECOND-SKIN RADIANCE”
The good news is that the product blends really well with the foundation and doesn’t go streaky once of the face. It adds a very subtle shimmery glow that looks super pretty to the naked eye. After mixing the drops into the foundation to apply together for the base, I then added a further concentrated of highlight onto the top of the cheek and brow bones. I will definitely be using this more often depending on how frustrated I get with getting the product out of the bottle! This is one of the best liquid drops I have used because the consistency is perfect to mix into the foundation.
